On the Verge

Man oh Man. Have I been through the ringer! A wild month of lots of busy and so many roles to fill. I know, I know-- each of you is thinking "what makes you different" or "sounds like my life". I'll quit whining and tell you what I have learned this month. We are promised princes and princesses-- so if you believe that, then why do you worry? Do you have what it takes to get through today? That is what is provided to princes and princesses-- daily manna. Not a foresight into next month or what if-land. Just today. So that frees us to love Him and His children today. Whom can I love today-- instead of what bills can I pay today. Some of you already learned this one. I had, too. But now it is more real. Thank you for daily manna. Thank you for my son and husband. For my parents and sister. For all my friends. For the love you have shown me.

Love, Laugh, Learn--Any questions?

Love, Laugh, Learn--Any questions?

Well, another year another no-testosterone for three days event called Women Of Faith.
It took three years for me to finally succomb to the pleadings of my friends at church to attend an event with 19 women who join 25,000 other women for three days of close proximity, shared hotel rooms and sharing. ICK. But I have gone three years now and feel I will always go. It is close, it is closer relationships. It is sharing, sharing lives. And so much more. It is validating, uplifting and interesting. I people watch and watching 25,000 women in a coliseum gives you lots to watch and think about. Great speakers on the platform are willing to entice a good laugh and encourage a good "go get life" attitude. I can go almost 12 more months on the encouragement it gives me. Life hit me hard the day I returned and I hope that I can last until the WOF national conference in March-- can I stand it twice a year? Yeah. Probably. I have to admit I was glad to go and glad to see my mustached hubby upon return, too. We had lots to discuss about what I learned observing 25,000 people praising God. A masterpiece is often later recalled among friends or lovers. Thank you for a great weekend, church gals and to the women of the porch (Sheila, Thelma, Lucy, Patsy & Marilyn) THANKS & See ya next year!
