How does it relate

If I describe myself in profile--what does that say about how I relate to Jesus?

Traveller--he was a nomad and knew no permanent home for length of time on earth and yet all the while knowing he was not at home anyway. I can relate.

Teacher--he was the ultimate teacher. I can relate. I think he was more warm. I take warming up to, but people almost always do warm up. Nonetheless, maybe I should be more warm.

Parent--he was parental towards the disciples with patience when they did not understand and with love always. I can relate, but must work on that always part with the teenager. Pretty sure I have few disciples if any.

Sibling--he taught love and I truly do love my sister unconditionally. Even when she is wierd.

Friend--he had friends who wanted to be with him where ever he went. My friends dont mind going to dinner with me, but no friends followed me to 6 Texas cities this month--and it looked like the desserts Jesus led his friends through. I can relate a little, then.

Blessed one--this title he had from God on high in the way we all do, but I am also blessed with worldly possessions and the knowledge that when I pass from this earth, I will not suffer as he did. I totally cannot relate how that must have been.

Dog reveals God

Eating a cherry. Puppy with anxiously wide-eyed wag licks lips. I want to treat the dog but cherries make her sick. How many times do we see chocolate or other treat in another's life, but when we pray for that treat God has to say... Can't because it is bad for you. Thanks for looking out for me, sorry I have not always loved you for it , Lord.

Airport politics

Two airports in Dallas ... DFW and Love Field. I have decided one is liberal and one is conservative. One has more help desks-the other has more boutiques. One has CNN the other has Fox on TVs. One has vendors serving Pepsi products -the other? Only Coke. Long live America.

Spanish projects

My latest project is with a 7 man team from Ecuador. I do not know much Spanish --and now? The Spanish I do know is all project speak ... The Spanish word for project, procurement, change order, budget, risk, quality, profit and idiot! How cool is that!?

Over 40 dangit

My poor husband. My hormones are flying around like witches after Harry Potter. Last thing he heard last night before he snored? "honey will you still love me when all my rooster chins become crepe-y?" he was right to pretend to sleep...

100 cal packs and fuzzy math

Diets stink. Worse than stink. Dieters are grumpy unsatisfied and whiney a good part of the day. It is for this reason I have quit the obsession and have decided to choose well every meal from now on--since it is now my life rather than a diet, perhaps I won't be grumpy ( at least not fir that reason). I will continue to pursue the idea I have that a re-distribution of wealth may some day be possible where I gladly give my hard- earned belly flab to someone who has none. Meantime I will keep one eye on calories and WW Points, but the other eye will be looking for fun. I have all I need for this new adventure except a calculator capable of the fuzzy math that adds two zero point items together for a total of 2 points!? If I don't find one I will begin work on my next patent.
From Tulsa airport on way to Dallas...signing off.

Another Weak--Up is Good

Tulsa this week. Not the best part of town, but Mondays usually are more exhausting than the rest of the week. Fly in, arrive at client office, work 8 hours, then hit the hotel. I usually grab and go some kinda dinner from a grocery or Super Target.
And many of you know that I forget an item each trip. This trip? All black and grey pants with only my navy blue shoes...I wore the wrong ones!
Client has an interesting chart on the wall-- you can picture it. A chart with revenue and a running blue bar diagonally increasing up and to the right. The title of the chart says "Revenue by Month--Up is Good"
Up is good.
