Little Girls and Big God
You know, for the"smart" person I consider myself to be, I continue to be small and little in front of a big God.
I find myself to be more judgemental than I should be. Sometimes criticism comes all too naturally and it is my instinctive response to poke fun and belittle (excuse pun) than to be the bigger person my Big God created.
In spite of this latest personal peeve, he has blessed us beyond measure.
Our estranged daughter contacted us out of the blue after more than two years of total silence -- we did not know address nor phone nor if she was in college or ....
She has been with us twice now and the visits have been so pleasant and healing. Truly an answered prayer. When I am able to see David's face rather than his feet (he is so high above me floating and grinning) I will ask him what he is feeling.
God and Lord, thank you for our relationship and the example we have in Jesus. Thank you for saving me, blessing me and bless Mallory and David's relationship. Thank you for forgiveness and that judgement is not our task.
(I promise a less heady post next time. Something light and joyful, rather than this serious joy) PS: Lord, thank you for joy.
